Through these values and purposes, The Teague Financial Group provides its clients with excellent value.The Formation of the Teague Financial GroupIn 1989, Joe Teague became the Managing Partner of the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network office in the Greater Tampa Bay area. Joe is only the third individual to hold this position since the Tampa Bay office was established in 1957. Since taking the reigns the office has grown from $2.5 billion of life insurance in force to in excess of $14 billion today. In addition, the network office field force has grown from 43 to over 120 Financial Representatives serving clients from six offices in West Central Florida.Joe TeagueProfessional AccomplishmentsManaging Partner Joe Teague joined Northwestern Mutual in 1978 as a Financial Representative in the Nashville office. During the 1980's, Joe opened a new office in Knoxville, Tennessee. Under his tenure, the Knoxville office became one of Northwestern Mutual's top-ten District Network Offices in the nation.As a representative Joe qualified for the Recognition Dinner 4 times from 1985-1989 which is a gala occasion at the Annual Meeting where top company officers and Forum members gather in recognition of their accomplishments. He is also a Lifetime Member of the Million Dollar Round Table for 2007. As Managing Director, the office became one of Northwestern Mutual's top ten District Network Offices in the nation and won the District Network Office's Achievement Award three years consecutively.During his tenure as Managing Partner, the network office has grown from $2.5 billion of life insurance in force to $14 billion. This dynamic growth is a result of increasing the Network Office field force from 43 to over 120 Financial Representatives. The network office currently serves more than 39,000 policyholders in West Central Florida. He has served as a member of the Northwestern Mutual Executive Committee. He is also a member of the Tampa Bay Estate Planning Council and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He has received his designation as a CLU, Certified Life Underwriter. Joe was the recipient of the Northwestern Mutual General Agents Achievement Award (1992-1994, 2000-2002).Community CommitmentsJoe Teague has not only devoted countless hours to teaching and supporting others to develop their own business practice, but has given back to the Tampa Bay community. Since 1989, Teague has been an active participant in the College of Business at the University of South Florida. He has sponsored numerous activities over the past 10 years and has sat on the executive board of the Dean's Advisory Council and served a two-year term as Chairman of the Advisory Council. Joe actively partakes in the CEO Council. The group brings business leaders together to share relationships, ideas and solutions. Joe P. Teague, received the distinguished honor of being named the 2008 recipient of the USF Alumni Association's Class of '56 Award! The Class of '56 Award recognizes a living non-University of South Florida graduate who has provided distinguished service to USF and the community over an extended period of time. The recipient is inducted into the Class of '56 to commemorate the year USF was founded and becomes an honorary member of the USF Alumni Association. Many well known Tampa residents have received this award and past winners include Art Pepin, Richard Gonzmart, Dr. Kiran Patel, and George Steinbrenner just to name a few. Joe has been very active in the USF Community serving as a member and three year Chairman of the Dean's Executive Advisory Council for the College of Business Administration. Most recently, Joe accepted the nomination to serve on the USF Foundation Board of Trustees.One of Joe Teague's community passions is the United Way. Joe has been involved in numerous activities for the organization and serves as 2005-2006 chairman of the Alexis de Tocqueville Society. He has also served many years as a board member of the United Way of Tampa Bay.Joe received his Bachelor of Science from the College of Business in Administration from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
